Building strong communities starts with investing in the next generation. Through our SCHBSIF Scholarship Fund, our Board of Trustees awards five $1,000 merit-based scholarships to qualified students each academic year. These scholarships are designed to recognize students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership, extracurricular involvement and a commitment to their communities.
Scholarship recipients are selected through a thoughtful process led by a panel of independent judges not associated with the Fund, ensuring each award is based on merit and achievement. Scholarships are paid directly to the student’s college or university, and recipients, along with their parents, are honored with an awards dinner in Columbia, typically held in late June.
