Looking Back on 2025: A Message From Weston Griffeth, Fund Administrator

Lift Smart, Work Strong: Back Safety on the Job

As we close out 2025, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our members, agents and partners for another strong and successful year. This was a milestone year for SCHBSIF, as it furthered the future of this Fund with intention and purpose.

This year, we proudly celebrated our 30th anniversary, a moment that gave us the opportunity to reflect on three decades of partnership with South Carolina’s construction industry. What began as a small, member-led initiative has grown into a trusted, statewide resource built on safety, service and long-term financial strength. That success is the result of your commitment, collaboration and belief in our mission.

We also continued our longstanding support of the next generation. In 2025, SCHBSIF awarded five $1,000 merit-based scholarships, recognizing outstanding students for their academic achievement, leadership and community involvement. Honoring these recipients is one of the most meaningful traditions we have, and we are proud to invest in their futures.

Our community events also brought us together. This spring’s Clay Shoot was a standout event with great weather, great turnout and great company. We were grateful to spend the morning with so many of our agents and members, and we appreciate the continued partnership and camaraderie that make gatherings like this so impactful.

2025 also brought advanced tools and resources to help your businesses operate more efficiently. The rollout of our Online Submissions Portal, Online Reporting and Auto Pay programs has been a major step forward, giving members a simpler, faster and more accurate way to manage reporting and payments.

Through every update, event and conversation, our purpose remains the same: to protect the people who build South Carolina. Your trust in SCHBSIF allows us to continue offering stable coverage, responsive support and safety resources that make a real difference on job sites across the state.

Thank you for your partnership and for the work you do every day to move our industry forward. On behalf of our entire team, I wish you a safe, restful and joyful holiday season and a successful year ahead.
