SCHBSIF is pleased to announce two additions to our policyholder safety training resources, which are offered free to our policyholders.
These newest offerings are made in partnership with our excess carrier, Midlands Management. We are both dedicated to doing everything that we can to ensure our policyholders have the necessary resources to operate safe and healthy workplaces. These new offerings take advantage of the latest technology in training delivery; one provides individualized training courses for our policyholders’ employees through self-paced online courses with subsequent testing and successful completion certificate deliverance while the other supplements our already rich selection of production training videos covering jobsite safety practices.
The first addition, individualized training courses offered through Webnet, allows individual employees to establish their own accounts and choose whichever courses best suit the employer’s and individual’s needs for initial or supplemental safety training. The employee receives the basic access credentials from the employer and using those, creates his or her own account on Webnet. Using that account, the employee can select the pertinent self-paced training, complete the coursework, take the accompanying test and, upon passing the test, produce a printed certificate to provide to the employer.
The second addition, a video library of worksite safety-related productions by Safety Source Productions, many of which are in both English and Spanish, allows the employer to display the video in a presentation environment or allows individual employees to watch applicable videos as a part of their employer’s ongoing safety training program. These videos are in addition what SCHBSIF already offers through DOL and OSHA under the Information tab on the Resources for Policyholders page.
Both of these new resources are provided free of charge to SCHBSIF policyholders but they are not in the public domain. The associated costs are covered by the SCHBSIF/Midlands partnership. Access to these resources is restricted to current SCHBSIF policyholders. All access instructions and credentials are, therefore, contained in the Policyholder Resources portion of the SCHBSIF Policyholder Self-Service Portal under the Documents tab.
Policyholders who have not yet acquired portal access credentials should contact their SCHBSIF customer service representative to gain the needed access.
Questions regarding this program should be directed to us by email or by calling (800) 678-8178. As always, be safe!
